Oops...sorry about that.  I thought I had mentioned it when I corresponded with you folks before.  But I may not have.  At any rate, it is a Japanese cookbook that dates to about 1643.  It's a little out of our period, but no more so than, say, Digby.  So far, what we've found doesn't give a lot in the way of actual recipes, but there is good information.  There is an accompanying text that appears to have been written later, possibly in the 19th century.  It's almost like an annotation, expanding on the information in the original.  Hopefully, Ii-dono wil complete his translation before too much longer, so that Hauviette and I can start playing with it.
