Thank you friends! I keep up and adding new Languages to my "trying to
get in touch with everyone in their own Language" effort...I am going to
teach me Arabic from next week, I was attending the courses at the
university of Stockholm but the teachers were most interesting in
teaching us grammatic and caligraphy than everyday language. Now I
recruited the owner of my neighboorhoods grocery, who is an Iraki woman,
to train me in basic skills, how are your children? I need a taxi,
quick, the soldiers are coming, hurry up, don't shoot, I am a Journalist!
I was in Gaza stripe in the last March, covering the murder of the
American activist Rachel Corrie, killed by a bulldozer, and I assure
you, all skills in Arabic were needed. I am going to try all these words
in Hebrew too, in case I meet Israelian soldiers. Now, you see them only
inside the tanks and you are not able to speak to them.
Thanks for all kind attention you give my rather sporadic posts, as a
freelance writer and journalist I am often abroad, unable to keep with
the list...
