I prefer to use a whisk to beat eggs or cream and don't have room for 
large electric appliances that aren't used often.  A few years ago I 
bought a Salad shooter that is also a hand held mixer that I like 
quite a bit. It gets used enough to justify the shelf space.  I paid 
$25 for it, but that was then.
