wasn't someone I knew personally.  Got a few of his books though.

And don't give us that false humility, Master A, you have some 
fascinating combinations of knowlege that would make fabulous food 
books.  An Anglo's Guide to Real Chinese Food and Foodways would be only 
the beginning.
