Oh, wow. All three of those sound interesting. I envy you. It sounds
like a great trip. If this is the salt works i'm thinking about, they
had some real grand plans about restoring it as it was in medieval
times.
I've got only a tiny bit of info about eating dormouse in the
Florilegium.
exotic-meats-msg (76K) 2/12/04 Period and SCA exotic meats. Swans,
ostrich,
crawfish, dormice, cat.
I'd love to hear more about this. I suspect they were still a not often
eaten item or a regional specialty though.
