[Sca-cooks] Me, was Eskimo ice cream

My favorite color is purple/lavender/lilac. My
yard is filled with hundreds of iris and roses.
I have a 30 year old apricot tree that
consistantly over produces. And a pecan tree
that used to over produce until the squirrels
discovered it. I have a pet tortoise named
Freddie, whom I have had since she was 1 month
old, but since tortoises don't show their sex
until they are between 10 and 12 years old, we
got very used to calling her "him". Sigh. She is
now 17 and can live to be 60. I never drink
coffee and only drink tea in the iced form. [I
know ... blasphemous]. My favorite beverage is
root beer, preferably a craft brewed one or, if I
have to have a commercial one, either IBC or
Barq's. However, I am looking for a British soda
called "Claret and lemon", but I can't recall the
manufacturer. My favorite fruit flavoring is
lime. When I was last in Oz, they had a
Schweppes Bitter Lime that was to die for, but I
have never been able to find it here. If
ordering a mixed drink, it would be either a
vodka gimlet or a saltless margarita. My
favorite wines are German moselles. I eat way
too much chocolate and prefer the
dark/semi-sweet/bitter versions. And Selene's
chocolate mousse is to die for. My favorite
cookie is Pims, of which I agree with Lainie that
orange is the One True Flavor, although the pear
is very yummy. I think that the Ozzie Tim-Tams
are not worth the hype. The four different kinds
I have eaten were bland and tasteless. [I know
... blasphemous]. I have been looking for a
sandwich cookie from my college years called
Ginger Peachies, which I only found in vending
machines. They were a ginger snap with a peach
flavored cream filling. My favorite candy is
Applets and Cotlets and all the other flavors
they make. I adore mushrooms and avocados. My
favorite cheese is Swiss/Ermantaler. My favorite
meat is lamb, followed by duck, followed by prime
rib. I have never met a cuisine that I didn't
like, but with my capsicum pepper allergy, there
are more and more that I can no longer eat. I
adore sushi. My favorite actor is Basil
Rathbone, followed closely by Alan Rickman,
Rufus Sewell, and Johnny Depp. My favorite
comedy group is the Goon Show, followed closely
by Monty Python. My favorite movie is a tie
between "The 3 & 4 Musketeers" and "The Court
Jester", followed by "The Apple War" and "Start
the Revolution Without Me." My favorite play is
"The Foreigner" by Larry Shue, and anything by
Feydeau, Shakespeare and Goldwyn of Britain. My
favorite TV shows are "WKRP in Cincinnati", "Dark
Shadows" and Jeopardy. I collect hand-wrought
aluminum ware from the '40s and '50s, art glass
paperweights, etchings and cheap touristy wooden
Viking dolls. I cook, sew,
emboider/needlepoint/do bargello, dance,
calligraph, play period board games, and ride
herd on half a dozen very talented apprentices.

Is that enough? Or shall I go on?

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves for they
shall never cease to be amused.
