Many years ago, there was a true incident where a
race horse named Harass [pronounced the American
way, not the British way], was being withdrawn
from a race, so the announcer said over the
loudspeaker, "Scratch Harass!"  It was very 
funny, especially when the announcer realized
exactly what he said.  It is on a record that I
own of radio bloopers.
