Stefan, I think you've answered your own question.
We all have our peculiar hotbuttons-- the 'avoid turkey if possible' 
crew and the 'turkey is as good as any other relatively unusual dish' 
crew butt heads on this list periodically.

I, personally, am in the 'serve me armored turnips anytime but Tart for 
Ember Day only on Ember days, darnit' contingent-- while there are many 
others who complain that armored turnips are served too often (and roast 
beef or plain roast chicken isn't?) but every dayboard can have Tart for 
Ember Day.

No 'countin for tastes, ya see.
