Cravings? I (Sue) generally give in to them, if in a controlled fashion
(an ice cream cone, vs. a quart of ice cream). Or I try and figure out
what's really going on...if I'm thinking of nothing but generalized
comfort food, fer instance, chances are, it's not the food I'm after,
it's the comfort. So I find other (less destructive)
alternatives--funny movie, hot bath, a nice walk, and nap-and-snuggle
with the kitties, letters to friends, hot tea, that sort of thing.
Maire-me probably would think of such cravings as invitations to sin,
and would probably resist them.

And as for the other topic, I suggest the original poster just build a
bridge and get over it. Gunthar would have said something about it by
now if he found it disruptive to his list--he certainly hasn't hesitated
to whack us on the noses with a rolled-up newspaper in the past, if
we've needed it!
--maire/sue, who lives in an area that requires a lot of teeth-gritting
silence, politically-speaking [both mundanely and in the SCA], and who
gets to practice tolerance a LOT!
