well, the carrots were way back 'in the day' and i have 
heard tell that they were at EVERY feast.  always. 
 without fail.  mistress mirhaxa (who i believe is on the 
list) may have some other anthropological honeyed tidbit 
on them.  or how  'period' food was attempted to be.

the olives i think were personal preference.

since i have only been playing 10 years or so, this is 
indeed hearsay.
