But do matzoh balls qualify as dumplings? I have thought so, but 
perhaps i lack knowledge of what dumplings really are. I am NOT 
claiming that matzoh balls are period. I bring this up because some 
recipes in the Muslim cooking corpus have a covering that is like a 
big matzoh ball, as it were, at least in my experience.
