convenience for me.  i have done the fresh beet mamba, and 
it just isn't for me.

but the weird thing is.... without mentioning beets to 
dear heart friday, he thres 4 cans of the little hummers 
in the shopping cart at smith's, and the checkout lady and 
the bagger both said "oooo, i love beets... esp. hot with 
butter".  no mention of pickled beets.

i didn't really expect to see beet-elmania in albq. nm! ;)
