[Sca-cooks] retirement sammiches -- OOP

well, didn't those damn little sammiches go over like 
gangbusters!  one of the younger guys referred to them as 
lucky charms sandwiches, since they were cut in hearts, 
diamonds and shamrocks. 8)  and dog bones... the retiree 
is a dog person.

blue cheese, cream cheese and walnut spread on 
pumpernickle
liverwurst mock pate on pumpernickle
deviled egg salad on white
cheddar/chipotle spread on multigrain
salmon salad with capers on rye

i was going to do cucumber sandwiches on white but left 
the bread at home, so i put the marinated cucumbers and 
red onions on top of the feta/garlic/cream cheese spread 
on croutons.  worked out great.

the retiree was famous for her 'bottle o' chipotle 
raspberry sauce on cream cheese with crackers' as a 
potluck dish, so i added that type of pinwheel to the 
cream cheese - green chili style.

when asked if i ever thought about going into the catering 
biz, i smiled knowingly, remembering christianna's petit 
fours. ;)
