I think you'd find that the fresh apple cider sold in places like Trader Joe's or other 'import
markets' is pasteurized, or otherwise processed just enough to keep it from fermenting in the
container.  This fresh apple juice gets shipped all over the continental U.S., so there really
shouldn't be any concern about losing it along the way, other than through the natural ineptitude
of modern commercial carriers or the postal disservice.

And, since it's processed, and not raw fruit, I would think that interstate AG concerns would be
minimized, as well (though don't you dare think about quoting me on that).  :)

Heck, my brother sends me Dixie Blackened Voodoo, Community Coffee, Cafe du Monde Beignet Mix, and
smoked alligator all the time from New Orleans, with no problems.
