the sca is getting older... and it is something we need to 
prepare ourselves for, lest we go into wells of grief that 
are really quite ineveitable .  i lost my bardic mentor 
two years ago.  it was harsh and it took me at least a 
year to come to grips with.  and i am about 15 rs younger 
than she was.  not like i'm a dewey newbie of 20.

we just lost a wonderful pup, loved dearly by a past baron 
and baroness, and she was such a part of our barony that 
it was like loosing a dear friend.  i was asked as kingdom 
bard, and baronial bardic addict, to do a memorial for 
her.  oddly enuf, my husbamd and i got our new irish 
wolfhound pup at about the same time.

it's all on the wheel.
