The Mennonite contingent of MellowBellies would like to recommend the newest
Mennonite cookbook.  It's called Simply in Season, and is full of recipes
that use ingredients that are all harvested at the same time of year.  The
cookbook is organized by season -- a spring section, then summer, etc.
Besides recipes, there are lots of nice stories and much encouragement for
eating local and in season.  You can take a look at Simply in Season at

Two other great Mennonite cookbooks are available at Ten Thousand Villages
on St. Charles Street in Virginia Highlands, a fair-trade craft and gift
store (http://www.tenthousandvillages.com).  There's the old classic More
with Less and the newer international cookbook, Extending the Table.  Enjoy!
