For some reason I'm reminded of my Aunt Ruth, who would not eat  
canned black olives (yes, the embarrassing truth is out; I come from  
a family of canned-olive-eaters) of the Lindsay brand, because of her  
ideological differences with John V. Lindsay, formerly the mayor of  
New York City, and generally regarded as a bit of a doofus. We used  
to use crayons, magic markers, and a bit of imagination to alter the  
label.

I imagine I might be leary of Bush Beans for similar reasons...
