[Sca-cooks] gender confusion

I started putting my whole name, plus my nickname, plus my mundane name in my sig because I was accused on another e-list of attempting to confuse people by using Mordonna. This person accused me of having both a feminine persona and a male one. She thought Mordonna was a male name.
Long ago, in the dark ages when there was an SCA chat room on AOL, people often couldn't figure out if I were male or female. I was under the impression that the "a" ending was a giveaway, sort of like "ette".
That doesn't happen very often in face to face circumstances. I'm old, and I've lost my teeth, and I'm flat chested, and starting to grow a beard, but somehow, I still look like a woman.
