OK, my serious solution, what we did with our current Canine Morale 
Officer:

We dragged out a pile of SCA name books and read aloud to each other 
until the puppy answered to one of them.  She is Tegan, which is from 
the Cornish and means "little fair one" or "ornament."  My father says 
that her Jewish name is "Tchachke."
