Interestingly enough, I use Dr Bronner's Liquid Castile Soap- either
peppermint or eucalyptus- for bathing in camp, for similar reasons. It
smells good, cleans my body adequately, and helps repel bugs. If you have
any qualms about chemical repellents, especially on kids, Bronner's is a
nice alternative.
Besides, on a hot day, some cool water and peppermint is downright decadent!
