I am very fortunate to have some 100 odd year old wild grape varieties in
the fields behind me. Being Hydro property (and effectively my backyard) I
can pick at will. I annually pick the grapes just before they ripen, and
have hubby strip the grapes off (they are really really small and I have
little patience for such an activity). I need lots of the little buggers but
I make verjuice out of them and then freeze them in 1 cup blocks. It also
comes out a rather pretty green but quickly changes to a baby puke shade
(air exposure I guess??).
