[Sca-cooks] Sun-Dried Tomatoes

Just thought I'd give you all an update on my search for this.

I have discovered (well, re-discovered for myself) that tomatoes were quite
popular in late 1500's in Italy, this I know was never really in question.
I also know they were frequently used in sauces at that time.

I even know how Tomatoes were traditionally sun-dried (on tile roofs under
cheesecloth)...

Now I just have to hammer a very period method, to a specific time and
place.

Essentially - I'll be tryin' to prove (documentably) that someone threw
sliced tomatoes on their roof mid-summer in period and promptly made a meal
of them, and shared with their friends.

Not too awful far fetched I should think.
