[Sca-cooks] Cooking Nightmare

Greetings,

I thought that I would share the cooking nightmare I had last night
with the list.

So, I was at Pennsic, and we had set up a cooking pavillion. For some
reason I was preparing supper for the camp all by myself and everyone
was just sitting around staring at me, waiting for the food to be
done.

So, I only had one pan big enough for the food (which was bizzarrely
Spagetti and Meatballs) so I had gotten one batch done for the
ravening hordes, and it was being distributed. I needed to fill up the
pot with water for the next batch, but there was no one who would go
get water for me.

So I had to lug the pot across some camps to find a working spigot and
filled up the pan with water. When I got back, the waiting people were
gone and there was a whole different group of people (still from my
group tho) sitting beneath the cooking pavillion. Only they had
completely dissassembled the Kitchen. They were sitting at tables
under the pavillion playing some sort of game.

When I asked what the heck was going on the response was that this was
a communal pavillion for the camp and they had decided that they
wanted it to be a game tent and the food would have to go elsewhere.

The end of the dream was me getting up on a chair and trying to
explain (very loudly) that no, this was not a communal tent and that
it was only for cooking and that I needed to finish dinner.

And then I woke up.
