[Sca-cooks] Almondsign, was: bitter almonds

Out of the clear blue sky, I got a promotional packet from the California
Almond Board last week.  Nice glossy fliers, a hard-shelled promo binder,
and recipe tips for almonds.  Everything but almond samples.  I figured they
could at least send me some almond packets!
Not sure why I got this, I have not been on that kind of mailing list for
many years.
Perhaps the almond gods are calling out to us?

        I just got the latest King Arthur catalog, and they are offering
bitter almond oil. That would go into marzipan, yes?
