As one of these very fussy eaters, I have to put in a bit here... To my
knowledge, I don't have any allergies to anything except milk, although a
fully dairy meal would probably cause issues lol. Now having said this, if
I attend a feast, I am willing to try all courses, unless they are just too
far out there for my tastes. I do have issues with slimy textures. BUT I
also have a problem here, and I know it's psychological, but there is
nothing I can do about it. If my taste buds find the flavor offensive
enough, or certain textures hit them, my stomach will NOT accept that food.
In other words I gag. Typically, I will discretely remove the offending
bite into a napkin, because to continue to try to eat it would make a much
larger issue. I then take a drink of something to remove the flavor or
texture and go on to the next food.

Unfortunately what this often means is that I read the menu and realise that
there are textures or flavors that I KNOW I cannot tolerate and decline to
attend feast, which also causes my husband to miss feast even though most of
the feast list is things he would love. The reason he misses feast is
because many of the events in our area when they have feast, they don't have
room for "off boarders" and there's usually a waiting list for feast
reservations. He would not attend feast without me being able to be there
with him, and I would prefer not to gross out my fellow diners with my
reaction to attempting to eat things I'm pretty sure from their description
I won't be able to eat without reacting to. Inevitably, what this ends up
meaning is that we miss out on the atmosphere of the feast, he misses out on
getting to eat new things, and we end up eating in our tent with foods we
brought.

Believe me, if I could find a way to get past this issue, I would happily do
so, because I'm quite sure I'm missing out on some very delicious dishes
simply because my taste buds cannot tolerate a certain texture or flavor.
