[Sca-cooks] OOP?: When did ham become associated with pineapple?

OK, Easter feast today included a spiral-sliced ham with pineapple rings
pinned to it, and the juice after use as basting liquid was used as part of
the gravy-makings -- UM-YUM!

(We used 100% juice-packed pineapple, which my personal diabetic situation
seems to tolerate relatively well [at least for now])

So -- like the subject line sez, any thoughts about *when* pineapple become
associated with baking of the ham?
