splenda makes a decent syrup.
so does Acesulfame Potassium, which is  another sweetener sold under the
trade name "Diabetasweet".

remember that when you mix sweetenerd they have a intensifying effect, which
is why you often see mixed sweeteners on labels.

both taste pretty much like "sugar" as long as they are not over sweetened.

remember that Acesulfame Potassium can occasionally set of people with
sulfer allergies... not in my case, fortunately.. different type of sulfer
than what sets me off.

both are tolerated well by many people.
neither one is nutrasweet (generically known as Aspartame) which is a big
plus for me, as i will not eat that stuff.
