Adamantius,
You forgot to mention that graham crackers are frequently crushed and turned into
a crust for cheese cake. As I am not found of graham crackers, I hate this crust.
When I make cheesecake, I usually make a nut crust. Depending on what I have on
hand, either pecans, walnuts, filberts or macadamias. I haven't done almond or pistachio
yet, but they are next on my list to try.
2 1/2 cups ground pecans (or whatever ground nut you desire)
1/3 cup white sugar
4 tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
1 egg, beaten
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix ingredients until well mixed. Press into the bottom
of a greased 9" springform pan. Bake 10 to 15 minutes. Let cool before filling with
your cheesecake filling.

Remember that while money talks, chocolate sings.
