approximately 4 - 5 cups depending on the grate (fine or coarse) or how you
pack the measuring cup.
Since I come from the old school of "spoon your dry ingredients into the
measuring cup" I do not tend to pack it heavily. I use my "artistic license" to
adjust the flavor if I feel it needs more.
According to my records, 3 oz = 1 cup (assuming a medium/fine grate, not
coarse like most people do for cheddar, but not micro-fine like you would get
with a micro planer style grater)
