Benedicte,
LOL...thanks Philp...isn't that what a Laurel is pledged to do...spread the virus around...lol..
okay...Mayan Turkeys are gonna be hard to find in this country outside of a zoo, or private collector, though I noticed that MurrayMcMurray carried Spanish Blacks AND Norfolks...so that's a step in the right direction.. You might check out www.Feathersite.com for more links and info on turkeys and breeders and such!
To the rest of the list please note that the Eastern NA wild turkeys are NOT the same species as our modern bird OR the bird brought to Europe..

YOu might also try Leofwynne atte Gos down in Ansteorra...her husband is one of the avian curators at the Dallas/Ft. Worth Zoo...now talk about a dream job!! sigh!! She is on the medievalanimals at yahoogroups.com

I'm almost afraid to ask, Johann, but where might on find a breeding
pair or group of the Mayan turkeys?

I'm afraid to ask folks, because I started out with just Cogburn and
his ladies, and thanks to Johann's evil influence, now have about 2
dozen chickens, and 4 ducks. Damn the man- wish he'd keep his poultry
enthusiasms to himself
