Yes, as has been said, it will depend on how tightly you pack it, and  
also, perhaps, how large the openings in your grater are.

However, FWIW, "Food For Fifty" claims a pound will grate out to  
approximately 5  2/3 cups.

The commercially grated 2-cup tub my lady wife bought at the  
supermarket the other day when they didn't have any of the real  
stuff, allegedly weighs in at 5 ounces net.
