My Christmas was more scribal than cooking in nature, but I did get two 
cookbooks:
The Original Mediterranean Cuisine by Barbara Santich    and
How to Cook A Peacock, Le Viandier by Taillevent

I'm enjoying the info on cooking from the meditrranean that Santich includes 
before the recipes.  It will definitely help with the A&S project I'm working 
on right now.
