The province of Malagentia (southern Maine - less than 2 hours north of
Boston) is shaking off the winter doldrums and looking to Spring once again. We
would love to have people join us the last weekend of April and have room for
more teachers for Spring's Inspirations. If you have something you are
thinking of teaching and could use a shake down run on the class, this is a great
little event to do that. We usually have 50-75 attendees and a nice dayboard.
Classes are well attended and much appreciated. If you are willing to offer a
class or would like more information, please contact the autocrat, Lady
Mickel shown below.
Many Thanks,
Lady Aelfwyn

A weekend of Arts & Archery

Sunday April 30, 9:00-5:00 - 3rd Annual Spring Shoot archery competition

The Province of Malagentia extends an invitation to everyone to join us
for a weekend of Arts and Archery. On Saturday April 29nd, the arts and
sciences take the spotlight as Spring's Inspirations returns for its fifth
year, in Kennebunk at the First Parish Unitarian/Universalist Church. On
Sunday April 30, archery and thrown weapons fans get their chance when the
third annual Spring Shoot Archery competition takes place in North Yarmouth
at
Lakeside Archery.

Spring Inspirations V:

With the fresh breath of spring comes the frenzy of preparing projects for
the upcoming season. Please join us for a relaxing day of sharing ideas,
skills, and knowledge during a variety of workshops, classes, and
roundtable discussions. If you have a subject that you're considering
teaching at Great Northeastern War but have not yet offered it to the
public, Spring's Inspirations is an excellent venue to give that class a
trial run. If you're interested in offering a topic, please contact the
Autocrat.

There will also be a display area for projects, both completed and in
progress; all are encouraged to bring something to show off to the
populace. A gaming area will be available, for those who would test their
skill at chance and strategy. Later in the day, there will be a dance
workshop. And, Lady Thalia and Lady Gwenllian will provide a sumptuous
dayboard.

The schedule of classes will be available in a few weeks.

Third Annual Spring Shoot:
With the winter snows melted away, it's time for fans of the bow and
crossbow to meet outside and play, at Lakeside Archery in North Yarmouth.
Planned events for the day include Royal Rounds and several novelty
shoots, as well as a 3d woods walk of 15 targets. In addition to the
archery activities, we will have a chance for people to try out thrown
weapons. Attendees are also invited to display any works of art revolving
around the theme of archery or Spring. And, Lady Eularia has a fine
dayboard planned.

Gentles attending both events will receive a discount at the Spring Shoot.
