Then you need to find a Dominican college and attend a Mass there. My
family has been associated with the Dominicans for over 30 years now. At my
Mom's funeral this past November, Father Vandergrift called out for the
incense and censor - as he put it, "I'm a Dominican. We *like* the old
stuff...."

Those Who Supposedly Know Stuff have held forth the theory that smell is the
strongest memory affectant. I know that inhaling the scent of frankincense
in Church makes me feel a link to my ancestors. (As does the occasional
Tridentine Latin Mass....)

And in dressing as Roana, the first layer, even before chemise and
undergarments, is her scent - sandalwood. By the time I have finished her
toilette, the modern, 21st century woman has faded to the back ground and
the 12th century lady Roana de Laci has emerged.

And Lord Husband has said, as long as I'm cooking, he will eat what is put
before him for Lent. Stefan, we'll just ignore that whole sex limitation
thing this year, ok? Baby steps to authenticity, baby steps....

Therefore, take up the full armour of God, so that you will be able to
resist in the evil day and having done everything, to stand firm.
