HMN ...

have done something similar with pork, adding clove and cinnamon ... but 
used lime juice instead of the bitter orange juice ... turned out very well.

Served it with lentils and barley, used the juice from the meat to cook the 
lentils and barley.  The kids loved the meat ... hated the lentils ... but 
they hated lentils to begin with.
