I'm pretty sure Strom Thurmond is dead.  Blowhard that he was, I don't think he could knock down trees.

well i dont know about HIS power, but lots of people here in Philadelphia
are out of power *still* from the trees being down.

we had a strom, big one.. and wind dropped a lot of trees.
on cars
on houses
on streets

my hubby and i had to drive home in it. scary.....
i posted a comment in my LJ, but i expect most of the east coasters got hit.
at least its cooled off.. a little....
