forehead)
Do you refer to the sellers/retailers by terms other than "merchant?" It's
always seemed less than optimal to me, somehow, and I'm not actually
familiar with more period terms for the kinds of sellers we often
see--butchers and bakers are pretty obvious, but sellers of books? fabrics?
household goods?
