probably in the minority and those doing all these things were an even
smaller minority.

When we create a persona, should we be striving for the way-out on
the edge 'wierd' personas? Or should we be working on the ones that
would fit a typical individual of that time, place and culture?

In some cases, I also think that if those who want to preach to others,
who feel they must tell others how to behave, can't find anything
to complaint about, they will just keep searching until they do
find something to complain about. And they can always find or invent
something.

Yes, this is a good point. I suspect I was lumping them in with other,
more modern extremists. And yes, I will admit a distaste for extremists
at either end of the spectrum.

Agreed. But sometimes stereotypes are based on some truth. The trick
is figuring out whether the stereotype is based on truth or not and
more important keeping in mind that there will be individual
differances.
