Raw peas ARE candy!

...aren't they?   
At least my kids seemed to tink so!
The boys ate nearly every single pod right off the vine 
when I had a garden. 
One year I never saw a single haricot bean, pea, snow 
pea or kale, despite a thriving total of 25 of these 
plants. 

After school was snack time in the ol' back yard cafeteria! 

I did manage to grow tomatoes and hot peppers.
