[Sca-cooks] Bread and wine in the Catholic church

I lost the beginning of this thread. If there is a question about why or how
the Catholic church does something, what is the question? My mom teaches the
Catholicism assimilation class(oops did I call it that out loud?) and I can
ask her what the history and current practice is. Trust me, if I ask the
question, you will get a very thorough (and partisan) response. I've managed
to resist assimilation...but I can always step into the fray in the name of
gathering information.

Subject: [Sca-cooks] Bread and wine in the Catholic church

Catholic friend in college said Catholic church decided if you ate the bread
there had to be some blood in it hence no need for wine.
