My mom used to chop water cress up and mix it into cream cheese. Then 
take white bread (decent stuff, not the American 
"I-wonder-if-it's-bread" Wonder Bread, aka balloon bread), cut off 
the crusts, and flatten each slice with a rolling pin. Spread the 
watercress-cream cheese on the bread, then roll them up, so you have 
sort of sandwich cylinders. Haven't had this in scores of years, but 
i loved it when i was a kid.
