and Becoming Laura Ingalls Wilder: The Woman Behind the Legend by Miller
for more on the construction of the books. Laura wrote for a number of
newspapers and farm publications through the years, so she actually
was a published author on her own prior to whatever role Rose played
in the publication of the Little House books.
