[Sca-cooks] OT - a challenge for geeks

It's a multi-layered cypher, with a riddle somewhere in the middle.   
In the end it all works out to a single, food-related word.  I'm sure  
it will be difficult for all but the truly geeky sorts (like me) who  
think that doing algebra and working out anagrams are fun.
