[Sca-cooks] Anyone There?

Yeah, the first time, I was dropped from the Cooks' List because messages
had been blocked. I sorted that out, and continued to get messages for
another couple of weeks. Then they stopped coming again. I took a look at
stuff, and was using only a tiny percentage of the storage space allocated
to me...so I figured something else was going on. I sent a message to
Comcast about it and got back some "gobbledy-gook" about them believing that
there was a problem on the sending server...they were blocking it because
the sending server wasn't meeting some requirement they had. I wrote to
Papa G about it...and simulataneously sent one to Comcast pointing out the
inconsistency in their response...I also subscribe to the SCA Laurels'
list...and those messages come through without any problem. The lady who
runs the Ansteorra server said that there was no problem on their server. I
got no response from Comcast. I forwarded the Ansteorra response to them
today...they have now asked that the manager of the Ansteorra server fill
out some kind of request form for an investigation!!

So...in the meantime, I went ahead, at my husband's suggestion, and asked
the list for an invitation to join gmail. Phlip sent one to me...I joined
it and, so far, am pleased with it. It's not quite as easy to use as
Thunderbird, but I am able to archive stuff. And I can keep threads
together that I want to keep. So...let me know if you want the invite...I'd
be happy to send it.
