Exactly so!  Beef fat/tallow is pretty darned waxy and the logical jump 
to paraffin was not difficult to make.

Hmmm.  Maybe I really should do up potted shrimps for Huette'n'Hroar's 
wedding, with all the Potters present.  <grin>
