My mother retired from cooking The Family Thanksgiving Feast two years 
ago and relinquished it to me.  Oh boy, I get to do kewl tasty stuff 
like turkey that does not suck.  But she did not relinquish it, she 
wanted everything done her way, even the parts that were rotten.  So, 
long story short, in the interests of family amity, we go OUT now. 

I want a holiday of my own, if I ever get my own family.  At least this 
year I have the distraction of the Royal Wedding <g> to take my mind off 
things.
