  Bought the book new, then unintentionally buried it in a box for 13 years.  Now it's unused, out-of-print, rare, and in near-mint condition.  Selling it because I really need the money badly, and because it's a little too good for me at its present value - makes me nervous.  Hoping someone out there is a fan...    
   
  Marvelous projects - fondant ribbon "bows" that rise three inches high - in free-standing loops! - above elaborately decorated "cooky boxes."   Cakes, cakes, cakes, with stained glass frosting effects, royal icing snowflakes - freestanding, like the fondant bows... nuts, seeds, dragee, gel, icing, you name it, and multiple ways to use/apply them...  "Subtleties" in our sense:  sugar-paste Christmas tree globe ornaments and a chocolate-almond pinecone wreath that is eerily realistic and looks totally delicious at the same time.  
   
  Color photos of all projects, plus illustrated instructions and line drawings.  Recipes for white cakes, fruit cakes, melting butter cookies and solid construction doughs, gingerbread and other.  Royal icing, buttercream, fondant, sugar paste, gum paste - recipes and how-to-use tips...  more...
   
  In the store, book sustained shelf damage of a small (quarter inch) tear in lower right front corner of dust jacket, and very slight ruffling of lower back edge of dust cover.  Otherwise, it's perfect.  
   
  Current Amazon price:  $64.99, with wear and/or no dust jacket.  $150 for this condition.  Asking $80, and I'll pay the postage.
