Perhaps somebody'd put the arm on him (good ol' reliable Nathan, that is), 
and he had to pretend to enjoy it?  After which he would follow Sky down to 
the islands and drown the memory of the "cheesecake" he'd  been forced to 
eat in lots of rum.
