This is a Korean BBQ plate. They are mostly metal these days, but you
can find them in stone, composite and stoneware.

[no runoff lines, wonderful primitive version though.]

Keep googling for more!

I had looked around in the market places here for a ceramic replacement and have not found anything but metal ones. A very quick scan on the net produced this picture but this is not the actual thing I am looking for but gives an indication of the shape of the pan, without being attached to a hotplate of course.

Just at the base of the hump near that drip-lip is a hole which you place a bowl or cup under to catch the runoff. It sort of looked like a pretty much flattened version of a globe with the Lat and Long. lines as furrows for the runoff. Does that make sense? Anyway, I have been really missing mine a lot and just wonder if anyone has seen any or know where I might get one. I know better than to lend stuff I will miss if I don't get back, but how do you say "no" to a friend who also happened (at the time) to be Princess (now Queen)??
