Not near as bad as the zoning I have for horses. We are allowed one per acre. I have 3.5 acres....
I haven't found out if that means a pony or a perpetually pregnant mare.  <G> 
No goats or sheep allowed, though-something to do with erosion and fouling the water supply...as if horses aren't productive enough....
 
All in all, though, either should provide plenty for fertilizer to try that Period Vegetable Garden...(OK, so it was a bit of a stretch to include an obligatory food reference, but it worked...sorta)
